Don't Blame it on the Darkness

I am not afraid of the darkness.
For it is calm and gentle.
The darkness brings forth light.
It is creation.
It is manifestation.
My thoughts were created in the darkness of my mind.
I was created in the darkness of my mothers womb.
Without 9 months of darkness, I couldnt have had 1 second of light.
I am thankful for the darkness.
It is not evil.
The only evil I see, is the evil that we create.
The darkness hasn't done anything to me.
It has allowed me to see with my eyes closed.
With my eyes closed, I can see what I couldnt with them open.
So, dont blame it on the darkness.

The beauty in your eyes captured my attention...
And my heart.
I am now held captive in your memories.
You forgot about me.
Why wont you just let me free?
Just let me be.
Let me live.
What's it gonna give,
To gain back my liberty?
Do I have to surrender to your indecency?
I am lost in this maze,
It's all a haze.
I find myself back at the beginning,
The beginning of our past,
Reliving itself in our future.
Over and over again.
I can't win.
I can't let you go.
I should.
I seen the soul that lies behind your eyes,
And the darkness that dwells in your heart.
I witnessed the evil that tears you apart.
I understand.
I understand that you're a man that's been hurt.
So, you hurt everybody else.
Not giving a damn about anybody but yourself.
You've  been conditioned to be that way.
Somewhere your heart went astray,
Your clouds turned gray.
Your days turned into nights,
Without a moon in the sky.
Just let go...
Rid yourself of all that pain,
So, there would be sunshine instead of rain.
Remember me and set me free.
So, I can no longer be held captive in your memory.
